The Laboratory support the testing service for pesticide registration in Malaysia and pesticide residue inspecting in foods (fresh fruits or vegetables) against the sample batch on the shipment of consignment prior to its sale, supply or distribution to other country.
Our Pesticide Residues Analysis service included:
i. Analysis of individual or groups of pesticides,
ii. Targeted pesticide testing,
iii. Multi-residue screening test.
The aim of analysis is on pesticide group of Organophosphorus (OP), Organochlorine (OC), Synthetic Pyrethroid (SP), Triazole, Triazine, Carbamate and Dithiocarbamates against various agricultural commodities (vegetables & fruits). We cover up herbicide, fungicide and insecticide that mostly used by farmers. Besides, our laboratory have analyses 28 pesticides that accredited to ISO 17025 as listed below:
Acephate, Alpha-Cypermethrin, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorfenapyr, Chlorothalonil, Cypermethrin, Diazinon, Dichlorvos, Dimethoate, Deltamethrin, Difenoconazole, Endosulfan, Fenthion, Fenitrothion, Fipronil, Indoxacarb, lambda-Cyhalothrin, Malathion, Methamidophos, Methidathion, Metalaxyl, Phenthoate, Profenofos, Prothiophos, Tebuconazole, Triazophos, Tricyclazole, Trifloxystrobin.
Data Requirement for Pesticide Product Registration consist of A.I (Active Ingredient) Content Test, Physical and Chemical Properties Analysis and Accelerated Storage Stability Analysis.
1. Determination of the active ingredient content for pesticide product which is comply with the Pesticide Board Requirement (Surat Pekeliling Lembaga Racun Makhluk Perosak Bilangan 2 Tahun 2023) for pesticide registration purposes.
2. Physical and Chemical Properties Analysis of the tested product including Appearance, Color, Dilution Stability, Emulsion Stability, pH Range, Acidity, Persistence Foam, Pourability, Suspensibility, Wet Sieve Test, Spontaneity of Dispersion and etc following the International test methods; CIPAC Guidelines and FAO Specification.
3. Accelerated Storage Stability Analysis is to monitor the stability of pesticide product before and after storage at different parameters with elevated temperature (CIPAC test method).
The aim of analysis is to ensure the active ingredient (A.I) content and percentage (%) in the formulation meet the specification and quality criteria as stated in its label.
Example of Active Ingredients (A.I) we tested:
Abamectin, Atrazine, Cartap Hydrochloride, Chlorfenapyr, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorothalonil, Cypermethrin, Dimethoate, Diuron, Emamectin Benzoate, Fipronil, Glyphosate, Glyphosate Ammonium, Glufosinate Ammonium, Hexaflumuron, Imidacloprid, Malathion, MCPA Potassium, Paclobutrazol and Propanil.
